The Back Mountain Historical Association presents a special showing of WVIA's "Our Town Dallas", at the Back Mt. Regional  EMS building, SR 118 (front of the Luzerne County Fairgrounds). Also, a sneak peek at the Dallas Days Bicentennial History & Art Display.

An amazing display of historical photographs and memorabilia at the Back Mt Regional EMS building, SR 118 (front of the Luzerne County Fairgrounds), in Lehman. Featured is the Back Mt. Railroad Club's miniature train display of downtown Dallas and other historically significant scenes of the Back Mountain. Final weekend for the display is Memorial Weekend, May    

Dallas resident Frances Gavigan celebrated her 100th birthday at the Dallas Days Bicentennial History & Art Display on May 21st. Mrs. Gavigan's secret to a long life? "Enjoy every day."

(And, enjoy she did. Sadly, Mrs. Gavigan passed on Thursday, June 8th. She will be missed by family and friends, and those of us at Dallas Township whose lives she touched.)
